Sail. Trade. Fight. Betray.

Pirate's Quest drops you into a persistent open sea filled with islands, ports, and rival captains. Alliances are fluid, trust is earned (and broken), and every encounter with another player is a negotiation — fight, trade, or sail away.

Find Your Fortune

Trade

Trade

Every port has its own player-driven economy. Buy low, sail far, sell high. Prices shift with supply and demand, so the best trade route is the one nobody else has found yet.

Quest

Quest

Characters at ports offer quests for unique rewards — rare gear, powerful artifacts, or new crew members. Some quests lead to other quests. Some lead to trouble.

Fight

Fight

Broadside cannons, 2-second cooldowns, and loot that scatters into the water when a ship sinks. The rewards scale with the risk — and sometimes the biggest reward is the look on another player's face.

Every session is different because the world is shaped by the players in it.

Your Ship Is Everything

Start as a nimble Sloop. Upgrade to a Brigantine. Become a Galleon. Each tier is bigger, tougher, and carries more component slots — but upgrading costs serious resources. Equip components to specialize your playstyle: speed demon, armored trader, or cannon-heavy warship. No perfect build exists, so every choice matters.

I

Sloop

Small, nimble, and free. Where every pirate begins.

II

Brigantine

More firepower, more cargo, more trouble for your enemies.

III

Galleon

The biggest ship on the sea. A floating fortress of destruction.

Death Is Expensive

Sink and you lose half your cargo and all your equipped components. Ship upgrades and artifacts survive, so your long-term progress is safe — but that haul of iron you were about to sell? Gone. Smart pirates build a vault at a port before heading into danger. Everything inside is untouchable, even by death.

You're Never Alone

AI-controlled ships roam alongside players. There's always something happening on the sea, whether you're looking for a fight or trying to avoid one.

Traders

Fat merchant ships sailing between ports. Easy pickings with a full cargo.

Easy Prey

Pirates

They hunt you. They steal your cargo. They carry loot worth fighting for.

Dangerous

Fleets

Entire armadas guarding legendary treasure. Bring friends or don't bother.

Suicide Solo

Every Encounter Is a Choice

There are no teams and no factions. You decide what every player encounter means. Team up to take down a fleet. Race a rival to the best trade route. Shake hands and split the loot — or don't. Communication happens through emotes, keeping things fast and expressive without breaking the flow.

Pirate Crew

No ship sails itself. Recruit crew members at ports to unlock special abilities and give your vessel the edge it needs.

Prototype Early Development

Pirate's Quest is an early-stage prototype and mostly a personal learning project. It exists to experiment with Godot, C#, AI driven development, and multiplayer game design. Expect some rough edges, missing features, and a whole lot of changes.

Additionally, a significant amount of content is AI-generated to make it easier to experiment. That includes much of this website, much of the artwork, and portions of the game code. Eventually, I'd like to replace the AI-generated content with handcrafted work, but for now it helps me iterate faster and focus on the core gameplay.

Feedback and contributions are welcome on GitHub. See the changelog for what's new.
